Denver. The Phoenix Suns prevailed without defeat against the Denver Nuggets and were the first team of the NBA season to reach the Conference Finals.

Led by the outstanding Chris Paul, the Suns defeated the Nuggets on Sunday (local time) 125: 118 and won the series with a so-called “sweep” 4: 0.

In the final series of the Western Conference, the Suns now face either the Utah Jazz or the Los Angeles Clippers. In this series, the Jazz lead 2-1 before game four. The team from Phoenix has a few days off because of this. In the Eastern Conference, the Milwaukee Bucks equalized in the playoff series against the Brooklyn Nets to 2-2 and now have every chance of making it into the finals.

Paul got 37 points and hit the basket on 14 of his 19 attempts. He got support especially from Devin Booker, who contributed 32 points. The nuggets weakened themselves because the newly elected MVP center Nikola Jokic was knocked off the pitch in the third quarter after a foul.

The Bucks scored 107: 96 in front of their fans in their fourth duel with the Nets on Sunday. The Nets had to do without Kyrie Irving early on, who twisted in the second quarter and couldn’t continue. It wasn’t clear after the game whether he would be out longer. James Harden was also no longer available to the basketball team from New York.

After the tour in the first quarter, the Nets lost access to the encounter. Kevin Durant got 28 points, 13 rebounds and five assists, but got too little support from his teammates. Giannis Antetokounmpo came up with 34 points, twelve rebounds and three assists and also had four teammates around, who also scored in the double-digit range and ensured the second win in a row. Game five is on Tuesday with the Brooklyn Nets.

After the end of the game there was a fire alarm in the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, which turned out to be a technical breakdown.
