Although he lost to Junior in Barranquilla, Millonarios suffered the least of evils in the first leg of the semifinal of the League 2021-I. In the first half of 2014, the duel was extremely even: the two games ended 0-0. The tiebreaker for charges from the penalty spot occurred on that occasion in El Campín, and Junior again qualified (5-4).
The most recent duel between Bogota and Barranquilla was in the first half of 2016, in the quarterfinals. Junior won 2-0 at home, with goals from Jorge Aguirre and Sebastián Viera.
Millonarios went 4-1 up in the second leg, but a goal from Vladimir Hernández, in the 89th minute, took the duel back to the white spot. Junior won 4-2

Millionaires eliminated Junior twice in the Colombia Cup: in 2011, in the semifinals (0-0 in Barranquilla and 4-1 in Bogotá) and in 2013, in the round of 16 (a 2-0 win for each team, and 3-0 for Millos on penalties).
Junior retaliated in 2017, in the quarterfinals (1-0 in Barranquilla and 0-0 in Bogotá).
There is also an international antecedent in favor of Junior: in the first phase of the Sudamericana 2004, he took out Millos: he lost 1-0 at El Campín, but won 2-0 at Roberto Meléndez.
