Luvo Manyonga, reigning Olympic vice-champion in the long jump, has been suspended for four years for breaches of his anti-doping whereabouts obligations, the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) announced on June 18, 2021. The South -African aged 30 had been temporarily suspended since January. This is the athlete’s second anti-doping conviction, who is closed to the Olympic Games in Tokyo (July 23-August 8) but also in Paris 2024. Last chance for the 2017 world champion, he can still appeal before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
