Smashing Pluimkes is playing badminton in the open air for the time being

Badminton club Smashing Pluimkes from Gooik resumed its operation and for the time being plays outside on a grass area behind the athletics track at the Koornmolen air badminton. “Normally we train in the Koornmolen sports hall, but this has now become a vaccination center. Recently we also have G athletes in our club and they especially were eager to be able to play badminton again. Because air badminton is more resistant to playing in the open air, we are choosing this as an option for the time being, but we are all very much looking forward to the moment when we can exercise normally again,” say board members Ward and Mieke. Smahing Pluimkes has about sixty members.
