Founded just before health turmoil, the club from judo from Sillé (Sarthe) is slow to really develop as it would like when the potential is there. Strongly that the situation for the practice of sport in closed places is more favorable.

On May 19, it was not just moviegoers, restaurateurs, cafetiers and so-called non-essential traders who found a smile in France. This symbolic date was also eagerly awaited by the actors of amateur sport. More precisely those under 18 who now have the right to practice their favorite sport indoors. In Sillé, the three confinements posed many complications for the judo club. Even more when we know that the club was created barely two years ago.

The steering committee had projects in mind to initiate a dynamic and thus maintain the culture of judo in Sillé, but the virus and all the restrictions that resulted from it changed the situation somewhat in the immediate future.

Underage judokas can put on their kimono

Despite everything, the Judo Club de Sillé (JCS) continues to offer a number of sports activities in line with the rules in force. Underage judokas can put on their kimono and resume their habits at the Sillé dojo every Friday evening between 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Failing to have competitions to prepare, they take part in training sessions developed by the graduate and salaried teacher Frédéric Leclair. All with a fairly draconian protocol: no access to changing rooms and showers, hydroalcoholic gel on the feet and hands, wearing a mask outside the tatami mats of the Ernest-Chevreuil gymnasium and compliance with the national curfew in 9 p.m.

After the minors, it is normally the turn of the adults to prepare to return to the theater. June 9 in theory. For the president Cécile Loiseau, the deconfinement by stages of amateur sport is good news: “The children were eager to return to the dojo whereas before, they had to be satisfied, subject to weather conditions, of outdoor lessons. to exercise at Coco Plage.

Extracurricular sport with friends was lacking in these enthusiasts and then for health, it is a good thing to maintain physically and regularly. It wafted like a back-to-school scent on Friday night as the month of May draws to a close. It’s nice to see everyone again and watch this beautiful dojo come back to life after this break imposed in winter and spring. “
