Although most NBA fans welcomed the documentary “The Last Dance” with great pleasure, several ex-players involved in the story told did not share the same enthusiasm. While the allegations of lies by the ex-rivals of the legendary Chicago Bulls might seem obvious, the statements of Scottie Pippen have however strongly questioned the truth told by MJ.
The historian # 33 of the Bulls has in fact openly criticized the Netflix production since its release, putting the discussion above all the label of “sidekick” (“helper”) used several times throughout the documentary. It is probably also for this reason that Pippen today announced the release of “Unguarded”, a book written with sports journalist Michael Arkush on the Bulls dynasty.

The play, out on November 16 in the United States, will tell Pippen’s “version of the story”, also hinting at the player’s childhood in Arkansas and his collegiate career.
Tensions aside, the release of such a book will only bring to light interesting stories about one of the most unbeatable teams in the history of sport.
