El Mexican Santiago Gonzlez and Brazilian Marcelo Demoliner, they conquered the doubles title of ATP 250 in Stuttgart, by defeating the duo made up of the Uruguayan Ariel Behar and the Ecuadorian Gonzalo Escobar by 4-6, 6-3 and 10-8.
The final duel lasted one hour, 17 minutes and 32 seconds and this was defined with a match tie break that the Mexican and Brazilian couple knew how to take advantage of to conquer their second title as a couple after the one obtained in 2018 in the Antalya Tournament.
The two teams were tied at eight points in the third set, but then Demoliner and Gonzlez won two consecutive points to complete a comeback that was worth the victory.
With the championship in Stuttgart this Sunday, the first of the year for the Mexican, Santi reaches 14 titles in his career, the fourth on grass.
The last title won by the Mexican was in 2019 together with the Pakistani Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi en el torneo de Houston.
