Report: NFL sets deadline for non-participating players in 2021

For the second consecutive season, la NFL will allow players who feel at risk from the COVID-19 do not participate in the season. As reported by Tom Pelissero, of NFL Network, all athletes who decline to play in 2021 have until July 2 at 4:00 p.m. ET to notify to their organizations.

The possibility of not playing in 2021 was not the only announcement from the NFL today. The commissioner’s office reported through a memorandum that they will initiate a process so that the teams try to be the headquarters of the Combine.

The first ever Combine ever held took place in Tampa Bay in 1982. Since 1987 it has been held in Indianapolis, place that will have the headquarters at least until 2022.
