MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russian President Vladimir Putin received an invitation to attend the World Judo Championships, Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov reported.

“There was an invitation and Putin’s relationship with judo is well known, but he has not yet made a decision on it,” Peskov said.

European media reported that Putin plans to participate in the inauguration of the judo championship, which will be held in Budapest from June 6 to 13.
