NARDO’ – The desired, sought after and deserved promotion in A2 achieved by the basketball team Neritina Frata “Andrea Pasca” yesterday on the ground of the tensostatic certainly represents a great sporting success but it is also an extraordinary driving force for growth for the image of our city.
Although there have been many difficulties that in recent years have marked the path and commitment of the sports club that directed and administered the team’s activity with passion and foresight, we cannot forget the non-existence of a sports hall, the lack of adequate economic resources, a tensostatic unable and inadequate to contain the countless fans and supporters of the team and also the sad social period we are experiencing due to the Corona virus, yesterday evening the presidents Ivan Marra and Carlo Durante, all the managers, the sponsors, the technical staff, all the athletes have crowned a dream: granata basketball is in A2. Nardò basketball from next year will finally face the big names of national basketball. Without being presumptuous, we are convinced that other satisfactions will also come in this championship. The efficient and wise corporate organization, the spirit of self-denial that has characterized the meticulous work of the managers, the technicians, the players, the entire staff, the sponsoring companies that have followed one another in all these years bode well. The current and future municipal administration has the task of giving adequate and immediate responses to the many needs and numerous necessities that the participation of the Friar “Andrea Pasca” in a national championship requires.
