The Covadonga Group organizes next Saturday the I Parkour Tournament, this event will be the first official competition of this specialty in Spain.
Some will participate 25 “traceurs”, name by which Parkour practitioners are known, between 9 and 18 years old in the male and female category. The competition will be in the speed race mode consisting of an obstacle course. The tournament will begin at 4:30 p.m. and will be held on the Group’s athletics straight. This young discipline is one of the modalities included within the Gymnastics Federation and this year the Spanish Gymnastics Federation will convene the first Parkour Spanish Championship in September in Pamplona. The group tournament has the collaboration with the Federation of Gymnastics of the Principality of Asturias.
