The preselection of the Sheep includes 10 of the 12 players who were world runners-up in China 2019 and five new ones mentioned: Leandro Bolmaro (Barcelona), Juan Pablo Vaulet (Manresa), Lautaro Berra (Obras Sanitarias), Francisco Cáffaro (University of Virginia) and Juan Francisco Fernández (18 years old, will play the U19 World Cup and currently works in Fuenlabrada).
“The 12 from China won the right to a pre-selection and, under normal conditions, they would be summoned, but the list must be limited as much as the times due to this particular context,” Hernández explained to the official website of the Argentine Basketball Confederation.

The one before Tokyo will have a single venue: Las Vegas. The Argentine delegation accepted the invitation from USA Basketball, so it will travel to the United States on June 26, where it will remain until July 16.
