Nuremberg: NASA astronaut discovers city from the ISS

The American astronaut Robert Shane Kimbrough sends greetings to Nuremberg from the International Space Station (ISS) via Twitter. With the words “Hello Nuremberg, Germany!” the American starts his tweet on June 24th, 2021, 12:07 p.m. German local time, which has already been liked by over 1000 users.

Kimbrough calls Nuremberg one “beautiful Bavarian city”which most of the Franks can certainly overlook with this praise. He explains to his followers that Nuremberg is especially famous for its Christkindlesmarkt – among other things, of course. Then the American reveals that he lived in Herzogenaurach between the ages of six and nine and thus gained “a lot of experience” in the region as a child.

The space engineer currently commands the NASA SpaceX Crew-2 mission crew, the flew to the ISS for the first time in a capsule and is scheduled to return to earth in the fall.
