Aaron Rodgers pronounces on his offseason
This Tuesday, Aaron Rodgers, was once again the center of attention of the NFL. After skipping the minicamp mandatory for the Packers last week, Rodgers joined an interview with Bryson DeChambeau, Tom Brady and Phil Mickelson – ahead of a golf game that they will have on July 6 – where he spoke about the offseason he has had. Until now.
For the interview, Rodgers wore a T-shirt that read, “I’m offended,” which may or may not have to do with Packers president Mark Murphy, who recently called Rodgers a “complicated guy.”
When Brian Anderson, host of the video conference, jokingly asked him about his “low profile” and “peaceful” offseason, Rodgers replied, “It’s been one of those quiet offseasons you dream of, where you can go through your own process in silence. and that’s all you can ask for as a veteran player in the league. (…) I think that’s what this offseason is about. You are trying to enjoy my time a lot, to spend it where you want to spend it (…) and not have any responsibility, but at the same time being an NFL player. It has been great”.
The only “obligation” Rodgers has momentarily skipped was the minicamp from Green Bay last week. All other practices this offseason have been voluntary. However, on July 27, when the training camp, we will find out more in detail about the current situation between Rodgers and the Packers,

Kellen Mond signs his rookie contract with the Vikings
Minnesota’s new quarterback Kellen Mond signed his rookie contract on Tuesday. Mond won a 3-year, $ 5.223 million contract, including a $ 1,158 million signing bonus, as reported by Chris Tomasson of Pioneer Press. The Vikings’ third-round pick will count $ 949,712 toward the team’s salary cap in 2021.
Mond threw for 2,282 yards, 19 touchdowns and only 3 interceptions in 10 games for Texas A&M last season, which earned him the seventh quarterback selected in the 2021 NFL Draft, and after this move, Minnesota has already signed 8 of his 11 draft picks, with Chazz Surratt, Wyatt Davis and Patrick Jones being the only ones remaining.

Duane Brown wants a new deal with the Seahawks
In more NFL news, Seattle left tackle Duane Brown attended the minicamp mandatory of the team, but it does not mean that he is happy because, via Mike Garafolo of NFL Media, Brown is looking to sign a new contract.
The four-time Pro Bowler will enter this 2021 in the last year of his contract where he has $ 10 million in base salary, which is the fourth highest figure in his position for this campaign, only behind DJ Humphries (15.1 million dollars), Cam Robinson ($ 13,754 million) and Taylor Lewan ($ 11.6 million), according to Spotrac.com.

Two Super Bowl rings stolen from Vince Wilfork
The son of former Patriots and Texans defensive tackle Vince Wilfork was arrested and charged with stealing thousands of dollars from his father’s property, including two Super Bowl rings. The Galveston Daily News reported that D’Aundre Holmes-Wilfork, 23, was arrested and charged with theft of property worth more than $ 300,000.
Vince Wilfork, reported on May 10 that he was missing two Super Bowl rings, two AFC championship rings, a college football national championship ring, necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Later, a Patriots fan who learned of Wilfork’s missing rings contacted him to inform him that someone had been offering the rings for sale on an online sports memorabilia community.
In the end, it turned out that it was her own son who was selling the rings. In fact, one buyer paid more than $ 62,000 for both, yet noted that he was unaware that Wilfork’s son was not allowed to sell them and handed them over to the police when they informed him that they had been reported as stolen. Matt Nagy reiterates Andy Dalton is Bears’ starting QB
When the Bears signed Andy Dalton this offseason, they promised him that he would be the team’s starting quarterback, and although in the 2021 NFL Draft, Chicago has chosen Justin Fields, HC Matt Naggy noted, through an appearance on the podcast of Cris Collinsworth, when asked if there was any scenario where he could imagine a change in plans heading into the regular season: “No, I mean, Andy is our starter.”
