After seeing the player with the most points scored in a game of the NBA Playoffs, here is the ranking of the teams that have registered the higher final scores in the history of Playoff NBA.
Record that has remained undefeated since 1992 although some teams have come close enough in recent years.
Record Highest Score NBA Playoffs
The highest final score in an NBA Playoff game is 151 a 153, in the challenge between Phoenix Suns e Portland Trail Blazers of 11 May 1992, valid for the semifinals of the Western Conference. Overall, the two teams scored 304 total points after two over-times thanks to Clyde Drexler’s 33 points and Kevin Johnson’s 35 points.
The Portland Trail Blazers arrived very well in that race, fresh from the first place in the Western Conference during the Regular Season and from the victory over the Los Angeles Lakers in the first series of the Playoffs.
After losing game-3 of the conference semifinals, the Blazers were looking for redemption. And so it was: 153 points for the Suns that will pave the way for the Portland franchise to the NBA Finals, where they will be defeated by one of the best teams in NBA history, the Chicago Bulls of Michael Jordan.
Despite the very high scores, this historic game of the NBA Playoffs only ranks last in the ranking of the NBA games with the highest score ever.
