Mike Trout said he was doing better after sustaining a right calf injury, but he wasn’t too encouraging either.
The Los Angeles Angels star outfielder said there was still no timeline for his return to play.
At the time of his injury on May 17 against the Cleveland Indians, the Angels hinted that the outfielder could be sidelined for six to eight weeks. Trout doesn’t know when he can start training more seriously with certain exercises, however.
He had had a terrific April with a batting average of .425. He produced 18 points and had eight homers. Since Trout has been on the injured list, the Angels are 9-10.
