The Houston Astros announced Wednesday afternoon that they have recalled Quebec third baseman Abraham Toro from their Sugar Island school club, at the AAA level.
Part of the reason for Toro’s return with the big club is that outfielder Kyle Tucker’s name has been added to MLB health and safety protocol.
Since the start of the 2021 season, Toro has appeared in six Astros games, totaling 13 at-bat. He hit a single and got a walk.
