Mini squad, outsider – this is how VfB Lübeck competes in the cup

Before VfB Lübeck starts training for the new season on June 28th, it still has to play up to three competitive games from the 2020/21 season – but maybe just one. Because it’s about the state cup, the springboard into the DFB Cup, and there are only knockout games. Win or fly and it will be difficult for VfB. In the quarter-finals on Sunday (20 June), VfB has to go to upper division TSB Flensburg and could almost start the journey in a minibus. “I don’t think we can get a full 18-man squad together,” says sports director Rocco Leeser. “With the colorful mix of our team, you can’t even say that we’re the favorites.” The full text is available HERE.
