MiLB suspends prospect Giants pitcher glove substances

This Wednesday, June 2, it was announced that the Minor League Baseball (MiLB) has suspended Kai-Wei Teng, San Francisco Giants’ super pitcher prospect for substance abuse in its glove to modify your releases. The Taiwanese-born pitcher came to the Bay team in July 2019 as part of a trade with the Minnesota Twins organization.

Kai-Wei Teng, prospect to pitcher of the San Francisco Giants, has been suspended by the Minor League Baseball (MiLB) for 10 games of the MiLB Season 2021, which will be effective from this Wednesday, June 2.

The suspension came after Teng was sent off in the third inning of the Eugene Emeralds’ game last Saturday as his glove was confiscated for the presence of unknown substances.

NBC Sports Bayarea reported that the Taiwanese native is one of three minor league pitchers who have been suspended after umpires found ‘foreign’ substances in their glove last weekend.

Kai-Wei Teng joined the San Francisco Giants organization in July 2019 from the Minnesota Twins. This season he is with a 5.03 ERA and a 1-2 record in games won and lost.
