Major blunder: Haiti goalkeeper taps into his own goal | Remarkable

The Haiti goalkeeper had a real nightmare this night. In the World Cup qualifier against Canada, Josué Duverger kicked a back pass into his own goal. The Canadians eventually won 3-0.

Defender and captain of Haiti, Kevin Lafrance, tried to pass his goalkeeper in the 46th minute, but that didn’t turn out well. The moment Josué wanted to kick Duverger, he tapped the ball with his other foot. Thus the leather rolled into its own target.

Larin and Hoilett also scored for the Canadians. The country is thus for the first time since 1996/97 in the final qualifying round of the World Cup in the CONCACAF zone.
