Mac Jones cuts a fine figure at Patriots mini-camp

For a second day in a row, young Mac Jones was the best quarterback at the New England Patriots mini-camp.

On Tuesday at Gillette Stadium, the 22-year-old pivot was the one who deserved the most reps.

According to The Providence Journal, Jones was on duty for 25 passing drills, while Cam Newton and Jarrett Stidham had 17 and seven reps, respectively.

The first pick (15th overall) of the “Pats” at the last NFL auction completed 68% of the stints he attempted. However, he threw two interceptions at the end of the day.

Newton, who was the Patriots starter in 2020, meanwhile made just nine of the 17 passes he attempted. The 32-year-old veteran was the victim of theft.

Recall that with the former representative of the Carolina Panthers as number 1, the formation of New England maintained a record of 7-9, thus missing the playoffs for the first time since the 2008 campaign.
