The intention is for the former national coach to take Telstar under his wing during a competition match in the Kitchen Champion Division. The one-off return of the 69-year-old Amsterdammer is part of a lottery for a number of charities, in which one of the winners can act as an assistant to Van Gaal at the relevant Telstar match.
Van Gaal is looking forward to it and says in an accompanying video: “If you want to screw up a match with me, buy lottery tickets.”
