Liverpool fans hijack John Henry’s latest tweet

Liverpool fans have responded to a tweet from the club’s main owner John W. Henry.

Fenway Sports Group head Henry has been the main owner of the Reds since taking over the club in 2020.

In addition to owning Liverpool, Henry owns the Boston Red Box for Major League Baseball on his resume and the local newspaper Boston Globe.

On Friday it was announced that the newspaper had won the prestigious Pulitzer Prize for the 27th time.

Henry went on Twitter to congratulate the paper on its achievement and said, “Congratulations to a great newspaper that serves our community!”

After Henry sent the tweet, many Liverpool fans took the opportunity to respond with some fairly predictable transfer-related messages.

Here is a selection of what they had to say.

“How about if you congratulate Klopp on putting us in the top 4 by signing some players?”

“How about supporting Klopp with some new signings.”

“Yeah, give him some money to buy some players.”

“How about a couple of new signings.”

“Hello Mr. Henry, I wish you a very pleasant sign to some of the players”

“Can you please sign a few players now? Mbappe, Raphinha, Tielemans. Would be great, thank you John. “
