KD or Jordan? Kerr drops a controversial opinion

Imperial on an individual level this year, Kevin Durant never ceases to kneel NBA observers in front of him. The latest is none other than Steve Kerr, who split a daring compliment. The coach has indeed declared that Durantula would be superior to Michael Jordan in one area!

This 2020-21 season has been very special for Kevin Durant. Injured to the Achilles tendon in the 2019 Finals, the winger had missed the entire following campaign, in order to be able to return to form with his new Nets team. Many feared that his big injury could have a lasting impact on his game, and thus lower his level.

Obviously, there was no need to worry. Royal in the regular season, despite several missed games, KD was then monstrous in the postseason. If Brooklyn came out in the second round against the Bucks, he finished with an average of 34 points and 9 rebounds per game in the playoffs, as well as a triple double all-time in Game 5 against Milwaukee.

What to attract a little more respect from the actors of the league. Asked by NBC Sports, his former trainer Steve Kerr was particularly rave about him:

He has just shown that he is the most talented basketball player on the planet, if not of all time. Honestly. He’s so good. I loved coaching him and I can’t wait to do it again (with Team USA, editor’s note).

A big compliment from the former shooter, who knows about NBA legends. After all, he was the teammate of a certain Michael Jordan! And yet, Kerr goes even further in his praise. He doesn’t hesitate to say that the Slim Reaper has even more potential to exploit than MJ had in his time!

I think he’s better, I really think he is. It means something, but Kevin is a different race… completely different. He measures 2m11 and has qualities of guard, an unlimited range at 3 points, assists, the counter – his blocks at the level of the circle, it is simply astounding. Watching him this year was really, really rewarding to see.

This should make Durant particularly happy, who is now preparing for the Olympic Games. After that, the n ° 7 of the Nets will want to approach next season the knife between the teeth, in order to get his third ring. In view of the workforce around him, such a scenario is absolutely possible.

According to Steve Kerr, Kevin Durant would therefore just be more talented than Michael Jordan. While many will certainly disagree with him, it is clear that the Golden State coach may be in the best position to talk about it.
