For his part, Hugo Bensi, Member of the Social Judo Association of the province, explained that “this space is the continuity of the workshops started in 2017 that are basic female self-defense protocols, where technical situations of self defense applicable by women, with the aim of training women so that they have sufficient tools to face situations that compromise their safety and physical integrity ”.

Likewise, the trainer highlighted the importance of training references in personal defense: “With these workshops we also seek to generate trainers and references in this field, and the importance of disseminating this type of space. We are in a stage where those girls who were from the beginning continue as references of the judo social club and we as collaborators. The girls communicate in their own protocol way, where they position themselves as references of this new defense tool. We have as current coordinators Mariana Pérez and Andrea Ruíz ”.

“The workshops are held throughout the province through the Women’s Secretariat. We understand the importance of initialization in this discipline so that women know how to face situations of violence and can position themselves as referents and trainers of these new spaces ”, he concluded.
