Knowing Latin America, finding oneself, living experiences along the way, that is the goal that 26-year-old Román Galvagno set for himself, a young man from Cordoba, recreation technician, musician, judo teacher, who undertook the journey with Mate, his bicycle, in the midst of a pandemic, and has the goal of reaching Mexico.

Roman told FIRST EDITION what “It is all more difficult now with the pandemic, but since March when I arrived from Córdoba to Misiones, I was working until two weeks ago in Puerto Iguazú and now I arrived in Posadas. The idea is to go from here to Encarnación and from there to Ciudad del Este, and then to Brazil. The idea is to get to Rio de Janeiro, where I have a friend who is waiting for me and stay there for a while and then continue traveling “.

The decision to cross the bridge and continue traveling “It’s scary, because you can cross, but you can’t return by land, only by air, and well, I am with limited resources, if something happens to me I’ll see how I can get back because it’s not enough for a flight, but they are things that one is solving on the fly”, He counted.

In 2014 Román had the idea of ​​touring Latin America with his friends, they had prepared a Citroën 3CV, but due to work reasons, he could not travel with them. The COVID-19 pandemic surprised him in Buenos Aires “I was working there, but I was left without work due to the pandemic, so I grabbed Mate (the bicycle), loaded it on a remis and went back to Córdoba. There I started selling shoes and it occurred to me that I could do this trip with my bike. I sold everything I had, my clothes, furniture, everything, I put up the bicycle with what was necessary, I bought some things that I use for my training work to be able to work in hotels in tourist places, I also make music, and I went out ”, counted.
