In Dinan: News from Team Spondy for their associative raid

Justine Renault and Léa Sévenou train for the association against ankylosing spondylitis.

Justine Renault and Léa Sévenou were to participate in the Raid Amazons but it was postponed to November and moved. While waiting for the departure, the two athletes prepare for Dinan.

We had met them in February 2020 because the Raid Amazones was due to take place in December. Unfortunately, with the health crisis, everything has been postponed.

“But ultimately, this postponement changed the destination and we would obviously have appreciated Reunion Island but in Thailand we will be even more disoriented and as, in addition to the sports raid, there are humanitarian missions, it will be all the more enriching “

Ankylosing spondylitis

Justine Renault is from Dinan and she works in the emergency room in Saint-Malo. Her friend Léa Sévenou is a technical sales engineer in Dinard.

Since 2015, Justine Renault has been suffering from ankylosing spondylitis, an often unrecognized and invisible disease that makes her suffer a lot but she is determined not to suffer from her symptoms, “there are ups and downs, but I invest 100% % ”Explains the sportswoman.

Through this raid and under the name of Team Spondy, the young women hope to give more visibility to this disease and to raise funds for the association ACS France.

Archers of Dinan

On the program of the Amazons raid: archery – they are currently training at the Archers de Dinan who sponsor them – canoeing, trail running and an orienteering race.

Six intensive days where young women intend to give their maximum. “We still have some difficulties with archery but we are only at our third session, we are going to improve,” they say before both aiming at the target almost in its center.
