Julie Chupin clinched a new title. The Moncoutant archer won the gold medal at the French archery championship in Daumeray.

Julie Chupin is French archery champion. To win this title, she beat the final Daniel Lelou 139 points to 150. An opponent she knew very well since they are comrades in the France team. But before reaching this stage of the final, she went through the qualifying events with a score of 679 out of 720 points at stake. Julie Chupin missed 4 points to equal her French record.

Julie Chupin won the quarter-finals and the semi-final with the same score as the final. That is to say 139 points to 150. In 2018, the 37-year-old athlete was crowned French indoor archery champion. The competition took place in a special format due to the covid-19 health crisis. Julie Chupin will take part in the Tokyo Paralympic Games next August.
