Haiti goalkeeper’s own goal against Canada in Concacaf Playoff; video

The author of the goal against was the youthful goalkeeper Josué Duverger, 21 years old and, interestingly, Born in Montreal Canadian.

The play was seen in minute 46, when the score was 0-0, and a Haitian defender passed him gently the ball to the goalkeeper.

However, the ‘keeper’ got entangled with the ball on his feet and when he went to reject him, he ended up sending him to the bottom of his own arc.

Despite the error, he was not substituted and received 2 more points, with which Canada ended up advancing to the octagonal final, as it was a round trip series in which the first game had been 0-1 in favor of the North Americans.

Now, in the last phase, the Canadian squad will fight for one of the 3 direct places in the World Cup and for the playoff spot against the Concacaf soccer powers: Mexico, USA, Costa Rica, Honduras, Panama, Jamaica and El Salvador.
