BOLASPORT.COM – The Indonesian Football Federation (PSSI) continues to fight for Ezra Walian to return to the uniform of the Indonesian National Team.

The fate of the Persib Bandung player’s status in the Indonesian national team is still a polemic.

Ezra was banned by FIFA from defending the Indonesian national team in official international events.

In fact, the former Ajax Amsterdam player has undergone the naturalization process since 2017.

This is because the Dutch Football Federation (KNVB) sent a memorandum to FIFA regarding the status of Ezra Walian.

A glimmer of hope began to emerge after PSSI recently received an administrative document, namely the birth certificate of Ezra’s parents.

PSSI immediately followed up the document through a letter sent to FIFA for the process of transferring Ezra’s status.

Not long after, PSSI’s letter was replied to by FIFA in which it received and will process documents regarding the future of the 23-year-old player.

“Yes, this Friday (11/6) we received a letter from FIFA signed by the Head of Players Status FIFA, Erika Montemor Ferreira. Then, PSSI immediately responded back through a letter sent to FIFA and was grateful that FIFA immediately responded,” said the Secretary General PSSI, Yunus Nusi quoted from pssi.org.
