Germán Márquez could leave Colorado

Although for a couple of years he has emerged as the ace of the rotation, Germán Márquez’s story in the Rockies could come to an end soon.

According to the Majors, the Rockies have received calls to find out if the Venezuelan and Jon Gray are available for trades.

And Marquez has definitely seen his value increase in recent weeks. The right-hander is 2-2 with a 3.19 ERA in his last five starts.

Possible destinations would be the Chicago Cubs and the St. Louis Cardinals for the National League, and the New York Yankees for the American.

Marquez is currently in the third season of a five-year, $ 43 million contract that will expire after 2023.

So far this season, he is 4-6 with a 4.60 ERA after 14 starts and 76.1 innings of work.
