A new teacher at the Judo-Club d’Ambert (Puy-de-Dôme)
“We all have other projects,” explains Cécile Langlois, outgoing president of the JCA. Our kids don’t do judo anymore, but that’s not the only reason we’ve chosen to quit. We wanted to link up with the Covid year, but it was clear that our commitment was only for one year. I no longer have enough availability, ”she explains. In addition to the president, it is also the treasurer, Pierre Béal and the secretary, Virginie Charrier, who have chosen to leave.
Get involved and take ownership of the office
The situation is all the more annoying that the club is doing well, despite a small drop in the number of licensees due to the crisis: “The accounts are good, the teacher is present, the dynamic is there,” lists Cécile Langlois. But we held an extraordinary general assembly to elect a new office and despite the information email, we only had two participants. The people who are users and consumers of the club and its services should take their responsibilities, get involved and take ownership of the office ”.

Cécile Langlois also underlines the support of the town hall which is “listening” but deplores “not to have volunteers to take over while the JCA is a beautiful structure”.
