Eriksen reports for the first time after his cardiac arrest – football

“He was already gone” – with this message, Denmark’s team doctor Morten Boesen made it clear how serious Christian Eriksen was.

The Danish superstar collapsed on Saturday evening during the European Championship match between his Danes against Finland (0: 1) and had to be reanimated for minutes. Only the quick intervention of captain Simon Kjaer and the storming team doctors saved the 29-year-old’s life.

The Inter Milan star spoke for the first time on Monday. “Thank you all for what you have done,” quoted the Italian “Gazzetta dello Sport” Eriksen. “I’m not giving up. I’m fine now and I want to know what happened,” continued the Denmark star. The message had been sent to the Italian newspaper through his manager.

Eriksen is still in a hospital in Copenhagen. His condition is stable. What triggered the professional footballer’s collapse is still completely open. “I can not say it. There is still no explanation,” said team doctor Boesen on Sunday.

The doctor had given details about the resuscitation of the 29-year-old. “We had to start with a heart massage and shock generator because he was gone. Everything went kind of fast,” continued the Danish team doctor. In the end, one blow from the defibrillator was enough to bring Eriksen back.
