Emotional Neymar leads Brazil to second victory in Copa América | Foreign Football

Left back Alex Sandro opened the score against Peru in the 12th minute. Neymar scored his 68th goal for the national team halfway through the second half. The world’s most expensive footballer is second on his country’s all-time top scorers list, with nine goals less than Pele.

“It is a huge honor for me to be part of Brazilian football history,” said an emotional Neymar after the game. “To be honest, it was always my dream to play for Brazil and wear this shirt. I would not have dreamed that I would reach such numbers.” In the final phase, substitutes Éverton Ribeiro and Richarlison increased the score to 4-0.
