After Enzo Scifo, it was Emile Mpenza who found an agreement with the hurled club. As for his brother Mbo, the club’s football director, it is a homecoming for the former Excelsior striker who shone at the Canonnier during the first season in D1 in 1996-1997.
He had been active as a youth coach in Antwerp in recent years. Emile Mpenza joins the technical staff of Enzo Scifo as assistant coach.
This arrival at Le Canonnier confirms the club’s new policy, which now favors an anchorage in Mouscron.
