Edwin Cardona once again received praise from Juan Román Riquelme, Boca Juniors’ top idol and the current leader of the Argentine club. Regarding the Colombian, he said that before his injury at the beginning of the year, he was the best player in Argentine soccer.
And he highlighted that Cardona “is now in the Colombian National Team, playing the Copa América. Cardona is so good that they took him badly; because he was not well, lacking rhythm and football, but he is in the national team ”.
And he made it clear that his contract ends in December 2021, with a purchase option for Boca Juniors.
Before the departure of Carlos Tevez, T-shirt 10 was vacant, but Riquelme is clear that Cardona must wear that number. “If we could change the numbers in the Cup, the 10 would be carried by Cardona. For the tournament I think so ”, he assured.
Cardona already wore the number 10 shirt in his first visit to Boca, and after the Copa América he hopes to wear it again, to give his team hierarchy.
