Diablos once again overwhelms Tigres and scores his fifth victory in the LMB

For the second day in a row, Red Devils of Mexico They displayed a powerful offense that put together an eight-race rally in the fourth inning to set a final course for the 12-5 win over Tigres de Quintana Roo in the Classic of the Mexican Baseball League (LMB), result that means his fifth consecutive victory.

The five-game winning streak turns into longest so far this season for Team Scarlet. Between May 30 and June 2 they had reached their maximum with four.

Japhet Amador put the Diablos up with a three-run homer in the first inning and Julián Ornelas extended the lead to 4-0 with another home run. In the fourth inning, the Devils put together an eight touchdown rally led by two wheelie runs and a three-run home run by second baseman Yangervis Solarte.

Eight-race rally becomes biggest for Diablos this season. In four different games they had scored five runs, which was the most so far.

The Devils have scored 30 runs in the first two games of the 12 scheduled for this season between Mexico and Quintana Roo.

Tigres shook off Edgar Torres’ shutout in the fifth inning by taking advantage of a walk and two consecutive hits. The flare offense woke up to the relief of Jesús Anguamea putting together a four-run attack led by an RBI hit by Alexis Wilson, a wheelie run produced by Ruben Sosa and a two-run single by Yosmany Guerra.

Edgar Torres got his third victory in order to maintain his undefeated step at the start of the season with 3-0. The Poblano pitched 5.0 innings of a career in a job in which he allowed five hits, two walks and struck out six batters on the road.

Both teams will meet again this Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at the Alfredo Harp Helú Stadium. The Diablos will look to seal their second sweep in a three-game series this season with American Brandon Cumpton, who has just thrown 4.0 two-run innings in Puebla. Tigres has yet to define his pitcher.
