Denmark 1 – Belgium 2: summary, goals and results

Belgium had a really hard time in the first half, but at half-time they found the perfect cure: Kevin De Bruyne. The footballer from Ghent, who arrived between cotton wool, claimed that he is still absolutely decisive leading the Red Devils towards the comeback. He took the reins and made the Parken Stadion in Copenhagen his farmhouse.

Denmark, who dominated the first half with an iron fist, accused the great physical display in the second. He wanted to, but the legs did not accompany him. Even so, he was about to tie the match on the last gasp with a Braithwaite’s header to the wood.

But let’s not get ahead of events. Before, Thorgan Hazard had capped off a great move by Romelu Lukaku and De Bruyne with a shot that snuck into Schmeichel’s goal. Shortly after, the City player, again with the help of Lukaku, beat the Leicester goalkeeper with a low left foot from outside the area to ratify another high-carat choral play.

Those of Hjulmand put their hearts and for many minutes they had the Red Devils on the ropes. But when Roberto Martínez brings out his most talented players, there are very few teams that can neutralize them.
