Daniela Corchón, from the Soria-CS24 Badminton Club, had an exceptional performance in the Cerdanyola Under-15 National Master, winning for the first time in her career in a tournament of this entity.

In a test cataloged with eight stars, that is, only below the Spanish championship, Daniela met the expectations that placed her as the number one seed and won the women’s individual category.

The young Soriana had to face six games to win the championship, winning all of them with great comfort without losing a single set in the six games. In the final, and with a very clear strategy, Daniela would prevail by a resounding 21-15 and 21-13.

After this victory, Daniela Corchón will be placed third in the national ranking and is confirmed as one of the best national players in her category.

His short-term planning is focused on his participation in the Spanish Under-15 Championships that will be held at the end of the month and which correspond to last season since they had to be postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Excellent results also came from Vitoria, where the Soria seniors from both the Soria-CS24 Badminton Club and the AD89 obtained both medals and triumphs.
Cristina Puebla from Burgos was the most outstanding player, obtaining gold medals both in women’s singles and in women’s doubles together with Esther Segarra from Alava. Cristina was undefeated in both modalities.

The men’s double was a matter for Sorianos since the final was played by David Hernansanz with the Leganés Badminton Club player Sebastián López against José Carlos Pérez and Santiago Martínez. The greatest conjunction of the former opted in a match for an adjusted result of 21-16 and 21-17.

The rest of the medals, up to four, came in the men’s singles modality. José Carlos Pérez, triumphed in category C with great superiority returning to the path of triumphs getting his fourth championship so far this season.

In category B, Santiago Martínez from Soria hung the silver medal, leaving José Romero from Burgos in the semifinal round. David Hernansanz reached the same round in category A.
The weekend was completed with the participation in the absolute Spanish Championships of two representatives of the Badminton Club Soria-CS24 and AD89. Both Marina Rodríguez and Esther Pereira achieved their participation in a mixed double, their top being the round of 16.
