Coco Gauff, when the youth takes the quarter at Roland-Garros

1990

The youngest winner in the history of Roland-Garros is Monica Seles (ex-Yugoslav naturalized American in 1994), then aged 16 years and 6 months in 1990. For the anecdote, after having beaten in the semifinals the young Jennifer Capriati (14, pictured above), Seles won in the final against world No.1 Steffi Graf, who led 5-0 in the deciding game of the first set … before losing in two sets ( 7-6 [6], 6-4).
