Change at Brose Bamberg: Bennet Hundt also changes

After Devon Hall, who moves to the top Euroleague team Olimpia Milan, Hundt is the second departure in the build-up game of the ex-serial champion. “We made an offer to Bennet, which he unfortunately refused,” said coach Johan Roijakkers on Thursday (June 24th) in an interview on the club’s website.

Bamberg loses second best passer

Hundt scored an average of 8.7 points in 39 games for Bamberg last season in the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) and had 4.2 assists per game. He convinced as the second best German passer in the league. Hundt made his national team debut in February 2020. The 22-year-old is moving within the Bundesliga to EWE Baskets Oldenburg, where he has signed a two-year contract.

Some departures and two new signings

In Bamberg, due to the uncertain corona situation, only one-year contracts are currently awarded. With Joel Aminu and Marvin Omuvwie they have signed “two hungry supplementary players”.

Into the league with a “German framework”

With their players from overseas such as US center David Kravish, the Franks are no longer planning either. “I don’t think that any of our foreign players will come back. We would like to thank everyone for their performance and wish them all the best for the future,” said the coach. Roijakkers wants to build his squad for the next season around a German player base with Kenny Ogbe, Christian Sengfelder and Dominic Lockhart.
