Beti Gazte achieves promotion to Third

A season as anomalous as this one, with an unusual competition format due to the pandemic, could only have such an ending, with one team, Beti Gazte in this case, achieving promotion to Third RFEF in the second leg of the semifinals, already that in the final Eibar Urko will be measured. The eibarreses can not go up because the Vitoria, armory subsidiary, has not managed to rise from that immediately higher category.

Those of Joseba Roteta have had a brilliant and almost perfect year and are justly deserving of this promotion. Those from Lesaka, who back in February almost had to stop competing in this category due to the restrictions of the Government of Navarra, knew that they had a great squad and that this year the promotion, being a competition shorter than other seasons , was more open than ever.

Yesterday they put the finishing touch to the club’s week in Mastegi with a comeback over Añorga in a match that, due to Rezola’s 0-4, was a formality. In the midst of a great atmosphere and after the joy they had received from Unbe at noon, those from Roteta stamped the passport to Tercera RFEF.

Send the Añorga

The match also highlighted the great year, second in a row, for Añorga by Eneko Ferradas. They took to the field knowing that, although the comeback was a chimera, at least they had to vindicate themselves in a scenario that is never simple. His first half was of a very high level, culminating in Imanol Urain’s goal from Peru Larrañaga’s pass in the 25th minute.

After passing through the changing rooms, yes, they had a disconnection that the Navarrese knew how to take advantage of. In just under a quarter of an hour, they scored three goals that ended the game. Ander Ordoki, twice, and Unai Telletxea signed the somersault on the scoreboard.

Next Saturday, Beti Gazte will play against Eibar Urko to see who of the two is proclaimed champion of the Guipuzcoan Regional Division of Honor. Añorga, meanwhile, will face Hernani to fight for a place in the previous rounds of the Copa del Rey.

Eibar Urko 4 – Hernani 0: Eibar Urko’s pride ends with Hernani

120 excellent minutes were worth to Eibar Urko to turn the 2-0 of Zubipe and qualify for a final in which he will choose to be champion, but not to promotion. After the sad last weekend, in which the defeat in Hernani had to be added that Vitoria ran out of promotion options, those of Iñigo Pérez knew how to pull with pride to overcome the tie.

Their match yesterday was, of course, memorable, as they dominated a Hernani with too many doubts at all times. A direct free from Santiago and a goal from Barrasa equalized the crossing before the break. In the second half, the gunsmiths continued to dominate, albeit with more caution. It wasn’t until well into extra time that Montero scored the third goal. Arana made the fourth against an outmatched Hernani who will fight to be third.
