This is the case for Montreal, Laval, Capitale-Nationale, Estrie, Outaouais, Lanaudière, Laurentides, Montérégie and several MRCs in Bas-Saint-Laurent.

After a week of uncertainty due to the large number of pro-rated active cases, La Chaudière-Appalaches will also follow in the yellow zone.

“It wasn’t easy! We put all citizens in the same boat when this was not the case. The Beaucerons have gone to great lengths to get to where we are today. We can say to ourselves that finally, we are full-time Quebeckers again, ”said Claude Morin, mayor of Saint-Georges at TVA Nouvelles.

The mayor said he was as happy as his citizens. “We had been uncertain of the government’s response for a week, but we had the good news on Friday,” added Mr. Morin.

New in the yellow zone

It will now be possible to accommodate another family bubble inside a residence. It will also be possible for bar owners to welcome customers inside their establishment. However, it will be a maximum of two family bubbles per table.

“It’s a sigh of relief for us and for the other restaurants and bar owners here! We’ve been waiting for this for a long time, ”commented Anthony Blais, co-owner of Rock Café in Saint-Georges.

“It feels good to come back here! For more than a year we have been operating in a take out formula, it is time to start again, ”said Isabelle Veilleux, manager of La Société à Saint-Georges.

Indoor sports without contact will be allowed with a maximum of 12 people. Outdoor sports with brief contact such as soccer and baseball will be able to see a maximum of 25 people on their field. Sports leagues will also be able to resume their activities.

Teleworking is now recommended in the yellow zone rather than compulsory. The same goes for wearing a mask at all times in the workplace, which is no longer mandatory if the distance is respected.
