ATP – Newport> Full capacity but declining prize money, Opelka rebels

Reilly Opelka is angry. Since the start of the pandemic, the majority of tournaments have reduced their prize money. Logical given that ticketing-related revenues have decreased with the spectator gauges. But gradually, the circuit returns to normal.

At the Newport tournament (July 12–18), the stands will be full. No spectator limit has been set. However, the financial allocations allocated to the players will experience a decrease. Incomprehensible for Opelka. The American giant expressed his anger on his Twitter account.

As a reminder, Isner, Humbert, Mannarino, Thompson or Karlovic are expected in Newport.
