Alvaro Morata’s Future Is Still Gray

Morata was loaned by Juventus from Atletico Madrid at the start of the 2020/2021 season. The 28-year-old made 44 appearances in all competitions, scoring 20 goals and 12 assists for the Old Lady.

Juventus are reportedly satisfied with Morata’s performance at the Allianz Stadium and want to buy him permanently. However, to date, no negotiations have taken place.

Alvaro Morata agrees that his future at Juventus is still a question mark. According to him, all related matters are being worked on by his agent, Juanma Lopez.

“I don’t know yet where I’m going to play. I’m here and Juanma is the one who manages everything,” Morata told Radio Brand, quoted from Tuttosport.

“I have no news either and tomorrow it could be someone calling me and saying: ‘You have to play here’. We have a home in Madrid and we are very happy there,” he continued.

The former Chelsea player now prefers to focus on the 2020 European Cup. Morata is included in Luis Enrique’s Spain national team squad in the competition.

“It’s been a complicated year, including in the national team. The most important thing is that you do well for the coach,” said Alvaro Morata.

“I’ve worked with my team all year and can’t wait to be here. We all think we have a lot of options. I’m happy in the national team.”
