“To be honest, I don’t know what I should have done better,” said Alexander Zverev after the game. “I hit 20 aces and had no double faults. I played okay from the baseline, Ugo was better there. So it’s okay that he won.”
He won’t play any more tournaments until the start at Wimbledon: “I’ve played a lot and I’m tired. But that’s not an excuse for today.”
