A “New Brabançonne” revisited by the Stib to support the Red Devils at the Euro

This initiative is set up as part of Euro football, where the Red Devils will compete on Saturday night against Russia. This new version of the Belgian national anthem, called “New Brabançonne”, was composed by Chibi Ichigo and Eddy Ape, two Brussels artists from the hip-hop scene. It will be broadcast daily from Saturday twice an hour. “The title will be broadcast more on Belgian match days,” explained Françoise Ledune, spokesperson for the Stib. “It is a way of supporting the national team and of joining the enthusiasm of all the supporters who use our network”.

Who says song, necessarily means video clip. This one was shot with the two artists and mixes the French and Dutch versions. The public will be able to see it on social networks as well as on the valves installed in stations in Brussels.

For supporters unable to follow the competition live, the Stib has decided to broadcast the score of the Red Devils matches on the waiting time displays.

Finally, two buses were also decorated in the colors of the Red Devils. They will circulate throughout the network during the entire championship.

The Red Devils will start the competition on Saturday night against Russia. The other two matches of their group stage are scheduled for June 17 against Denmark and June 21 against Finland.
