A Badminton Project at the Liceo Metastasio in Scalea

On June 14, 2021 at the “Pietro Metastasio” Scientific High School in Scalea the Monitor 440 Project “Vivere lo sport” coordinated by Professor Cognata Anna Maria, with the participation of the ASD BC Filippelli of Scalea as regards the discipline of Badminton. 15 students will participate in the project and coordinated by tutor prof. Servidio Pietro always attentive to the growth of his students and a great lover of this beautiful sport and also assisted by the expert of this discipline, the Federal technician FIBa Mauro Filippelli.

At the beginning of the course, the presence of the FiBa Regional Delegate Prof. Adelino Liuzzi is welcome. The course will be attended for three hours a day from Monday to Friday in compliance with the anticovid safety measures. Great enthusiasm of the students in returning to experience school and sport in the presence after months of DAD and DDI. The first part of the course will end on 25 June and will continue in September, a dutiful thanks goes to the Headmaster of the school complex, Laura Tancredi.

The purpose of the courses, in addition to enhancing relations between peers, is to involve pupils in the various stages of qualification of the student sports championships and competitive events while as regards the participating club, it intends to train athletes of Badminton and to register and form them for competitive competitions, the Filippelli club, a true sporting reality of the place, as regards this sport, has always distinguished itself and made honor in schools and in regional and national sports competitions. a “Sports Day” in which all the pupils involved will give their contribution both in the organization and implementation phase.
