Yairo Moreno joined the ‘tuzos’, in the Mexican league

signed this Friday for the Pachuca
Uruguayan coach Paulo Pezzolano as reinforcement for the Apertura 2021 tournament of Mexican soccer that will begin on July 22.

Moreno was announced on Pachuca’s social networks through a video in which his compatriots Aquivaldo Mosquera and Andrés Chitiva, former Tuzos footballers, welcomed him.

Moreno comes from León, with whom he won the league title in the 2020 Apertura and played 88 games in which he scored eight goals and distributed seven assists.

At 26, the South American is a multifunctional player who can play as a winger and winger on the left, always with a tendency to offend.

Pachuca will be the second team in Mexican football of the footballer formed in the Colombian Independiente de Medellín, the first was León.

In Pezzolano’s team, Moreno will join compatriot Oscar Murillo, one of Pachuca’s defense leaders, and also Colombian midfielder Harold Mosquera.

Pachuca finished in eighth place in the classification in the Clausura 2021, a position that gave them the pass to the playoffs in which they eliminated the Chivas de Guadalajara to qualify for the quarterfinals.

In the quarterfinals, Pezzolano’s men eliminated the Águilas del América of Argentine coach Santiago Solari to access the semifinals in which they were eliminated by Cruz Azul.

Moreno will arrive with the task of giving more dynamism and speed to Pachuca’s offense, which is also made up of Panamanian striker Roberto Nurse, Ecuadorian winger Romario Ibarra and Argentine attacker Ismael Sosa.

In Clausura 2021, Pachuca was the fifth best offense with 20 goals scored and the sixth best defense with 19 goals allowed.
