World Championship organizers inform about ticket sales and Covid-19 protocol viewers Sports

On May 29, the organizers of the World Hockey Championship in Riga will inform the audience about ticket sales and the Covid-19 protocol.

The press conference will take place remotely on the Zoom platform and will start at 11 am Latvian time.

Renē Fāzels, President of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), Horst Lihtners, Secretary General of IIHF, Aigars Kalvītis, President of the Latvian Hockey Federation (LHF) and Edgars Buncis, Head of the Organizing Committee, will take part in it.

The press conference will inform about the ticket sales process, prices and Covid-19 protocol for the spectators who will participate in the matches.

As decided by the Cabinet of Ministers (CM) on Thursday, spectators will be able to watch the World Championship games live from June 1.

Amendments to the epidemiological precautionary measures adopted by the government to limit the spread of Covid-19 infection provide that hockey championship games may be watched by persons whose certificate certifies that the person has been vaccinated against Covid-19 infection 14 days after completing the full vaccination course. up to 90 days after the first dose of AstraZeneca and immediately after the second dose of AstraZeneca.

Persons who have contracted Covid-19 will be allowed to watch the game of hockey in person.

Viewers will be required to present a personalized entrance ticket to the ticket controller with the name of the ticket user, together with a valid identity document and an interoperable vaccination or disease certificate.

A personalized entrance ticket would only be valid together with the said certificate and identity document.

Spectators should wear mouth and nose shields throughout the game, including outside the game arena.

The total number of spectators with personalized entrance tickets in the multifunctional hall “Arena Riga” should not exceed 2660 people, but in the Olympic Sports Center – 1058 people.
